Tyson Fury Wants A Trilogy With Dereck Chisora!
WBC heavyweight champion “The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23KOs) is seemingly ready to end his brief “retirement” as he’s decided to pick fight with a familiar foe in longtime heavyweight contender Dereck “War” Chisora (33-12, 23KOs). Fury and Chisora have fought twice in the past, with Fury besting him both times.
Their first fight took place in July 2011 in which Fury won by a unanimous decision. The rematch a few years later in 2015 saw Fury this time stop Chisora in ten rounds. Two fights later, Fury would go on to become the unified heavyweight champion after a decisive unanimous decision victory over former long-reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko. In between the two fights with Fury, Chisora would challenge former WBC champion Vitali Klitschko in 2012, losing a unanimous decision.
SIGN THE CONTRACT!
In a video on his social media page, Fury officially calls Chisora out to a third fight.
“This one goes out to Dereck “The Shit House” Chisora. You’re running Dereck from the trilogy. You call yourself “War,” but you should call yourself “Chicken!” Because you’re running from a trilogy, from a career highest payday. Get the fucking contract signed, stop being a shithouse.”
Why Fury has placed a target on the back of Chisora is unknown. However, if it’s to simply stay sharp ahead of a highly anticipated undisputed showdown with the winner of the Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua rematch, then bring it on.
Chisora is as tough as they come and is known for taking on the best throughout his career. Plus a career-high payday and another shot at world title glory, it’s hard to say no to that. Although at this moment we’ve yet to hear from Chisora or anyone from his team about an actual contract being sent over.
We here at 3kingsBoxing.com will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
