Tyson Fury vs Francesco Pianeta: The first course
Tyson Fury (26-0, 19 KOs) is looking to continue his comeback trail against Francesco Pianeta (35-4-1, 21 KOs). Boxing fans will be eyeing this bout very closely. Reason being, is that a win for Fury jump starts the promotion for his match with Deontay Wilder. Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) is the WBC champion and has been looking to make a marquee fight. To that end, should Fury win, a deal is in place to make that fight.
Pianeta will be attempting to spoil those plans. He’s a competent ring veteran with fights against Wladimir Klitschko, Ruslan Chagaev, and Kevin Johnson. He’s lost all of his previous step up fights and this could be his last opportunity at the top level. We expect he’ll have ample motivation to upset the apple cart.
So buckle up boxing fans because; regardless of the result, this fight is guaranteed to affect the heavyweight landscape.
