Tyson – Jones Jr exhibition bout pushed back to November 28

The highly anticipated eight round exhibition between boxing legends “Iron” Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr will have to wait a little longer. The bout was originally on schedule for September 12 at the Dignity Health Park in Carson, California. The fight, which will air on Pay-Per-View, will have a ten part docu-series that’s currently being produced.

The July announcement met with mixed reactions. Some people are eager to see what type of show these two legends will put on, while others think there’s no need for these two to step back in the ring under no circumstance.

The decision to push the bout back two months is reportedly due to Mike Tyson feeling revenue could be maximized among, other things. This included possible drug testing after the California State Athletic Commission got involved after entering negotiations for random testing. With the switch, fans could possibly attend the bout under strictures amid the current COVID-19 pandemic.

3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available. Ringtv.com was the first to report the news.
