Yokasta Valle Calls Seniesa Estrada’s Resume Into Question

Several boxing pundits will say woman’s boxing carried the sport in 2022. Now with a new year, one fight fans are looking forward to seeing is a possible undisputed showdown between unified minimumweight champion Yokasta Valle (27-2, 9KO) and WBA champion Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada (23-0, 9KO). Valle’s recent comments have added even more fuel to their rivalry.

The two champions have been linked to each other going back to their days under Golden Boy Promotions together. Estrada has since switched teams over to Top Rank. However, their rivalry continues to burn hot into 2023.

After becoming a unified champion by defeating former WBO champion Thi Thu Nguyen, Valle immediately called out Estrada and WBC champion Tina Rupprecht. Furthermore, she became a two-division unified champion by defeating unified light flyweight champion Evelin Bermudez in November 2022.

VALLE ATTACKS ESTRADA’S RESUME

During an interview with FightHype, Valle called Estrada’s resume into question.

(translated from Spanish)
“I feel like, compared to her, I have had the most difficult fights and so far she has only had easy fights.”

In fairness, Estrada was coming off almost a one-year layoff and needed to knock off the ring rust. Not to be splitting hairs, but her last opponent, Jazmin Gala Villarino, has six wins.

Super Bad is said to be fighting a unification for Rupprecht’s title possibly on March 25. If victorious, both champions’ final destinations will be the undisputed showdown.

3Kings Boxing will continue to follow this story until they both are in the ring.
