Vladimir Hernandez Scores Impressive Victory Over Raul Garcia

In an entertaining, all-action fight, junior middleweight Vladimir “24K” Hernandez (16-6, 7KO) gets off the canvas and scored two knockdowns for the win over Raul Garcia (13-2-1, 11KO) by unanimous decision.

Garcia looked sharp from the opening bell landing hard combination shots. He fought well behind that jab and found a home for the straight right hand early. 24K kept the pressure coming and landed solid uppercuts and good left hooks. But, his lack of head movement made him a target for those left hooks from Garcia.

In round three, Garcia was in full attack mode and landed left hooks at will before dropping Hernandez. As the fight continued, he kept landing uppercuts and left hooks.

It was a tale of two halves. Hernandez appeared done but came roaring back in the fifth round and landed a hard counter shot that put Garcia on the canvas. Fighting like the energizer bunny, Hernandez put together a barrage of punches that dropped Garcia again in the eighth round.

As the fight continued into the last rounds both men threw caution to the wind and landed brutal shots until the final bell.

As both fighters received a standing ovation from the crowd, the judge’s scorecards were 96-91, 95-92, and 94-93 in favor of Hernandez.
