Andre Ward Praises Devin Haney!
Rising lightweight contender Devin Haney has garnered praise from fans, pundits and past fighters.
One past great fighter in particular has given a tip of the cap to the young fighter. Andre Ward, a former a two-division world champion and future Hall Of Famer, gave his praise to the young contender.
“Say what you want about Devin Haney, but he’s always working. I don’t see him ballooning up in weigh-in between fights.
“I don’t know about his personal life, but what I see and hear, he’s a full time fighter. That’s going to make him hard to beat.”
That’s huge coming from Ward, who doesn’t praise fighters based off the opinions of others. He’s very objective and honest in his assessments of fighters.
With the type of skill set, dedication, discipline and focus he’s shown thus far in his young career, Haney has all the makings of a superstar.
This is not unlike Ward, who lived a clean healthy lifestyle outside of the ring. During his career, this allowed him to conquer the super middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.
As long as he stays the course and continues to conduct himself as a professional, Haney has a chance to do the same thing.
