Queensberry Promotions’ Frank Warren is no stranger at trading words with anyone. The British promoter has been in the game for over 35-years, so it is safe to say he has picked up an ability to dish out a verbal assault when necessary.

By now, everyone is well aware of the possibility of an all-English undisputed heavyweight championship match. The only thing standing in the way are the respective heavyweight challengers Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder (42-1-1, 41ko) and Kubrat “The Cobra” Pulev (28-1, 14ko). WBC champion Tyson “Gypsy King” Fury (30-0-1, 21ko) is hoping to get the trilogy fight with the “Bronze Bomber” done by the end of 2020. On the other hand, unified champion Anthony “AJ” Joshua (23-1, 21ko) has a date with “The Cobra”.

THE HISTORY

Here is where the story starts to unfold. Former WBC mandatory contender Dillian “The Body Snatcher” Whyte (27-2, 18ko was the biggest obstacle. As the sport started to return from the current global pandemic, it became clear that Team Whyte was going to push for his title opportunity.

Warren even suggested that “The Body Snatcher” could fight the winner of the much-anticipated bout between “Juggernaut” Joe Joyce (11-0, 10ko) and fellow countryman “Dynamite” Daniel Dubois (14-0, 13ko). Hopefully that fight will happen sometime in October.
Of course, Whyte felt insulted by this and replied on social media with a harsh tweet.

THE OLD LION’S TEETH ARE STILL SHARP

For now, Whyte is no longer a concern of getting in the way of the potential undisputed showdown. His loss to Alexander Povetkin (36-2-1, 25ko) on August 22, 2020 took care of that.

Warren took to social media with a message adding more salt to the wound of “The Body Snatcher”. It must have gotten to Whyte, as the Queensberry promoter would show he was blocked.
