Jaime Munguia may make his fourth title defense against Australia’s Dennis Hogan
Previously, 3kingsboxing.com reported WBO junior middleweight champion Jaime Munguia would return April 13.
At that time, no information regarding his next opponent surfaced other than top ranked WBO contender Dennis Hogan (28-1-1, 7KOs). This is the most logical opponent, with the other junior middleweight champions currently accounted for.
Our initial thoughts are a step closer to coming to fruition as the WBO has officially ordered Hogan as the mandatory.
Both camps have 30 days to negotiate and reach an agreement before a purse bid is ordered.
With Munguia’s next fight expected to take place in Mexico, it’ll be interesting to see if anyone outside of the fighters promoters make an effort to bid for the rights of the fight. The minimum bid is $200,000.
3kingsboxing.com will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
