Viktor Postol and Paul Butler confirmed as reserves for WBSS tournaments
3KINGSBOXING.COM has received confirmation that former WBC junior welterweight champion Viktor Postol will serve as a reserve for the junior welterweight portion of the WBSS tournament. Likewise, former WBA Continental bantamweight champion Paul Butler will be an alternate for the bantamweight tournament.
Both men re coming off losses in their last outings.
Postol (29-2, 12KOs) lost a unanimous decision to Josh Taylor in a fight that was ultra competitive. He will face Siar Ozgu (14-1, 3KOs) on the under-card of Josh Taylor vs Ryan Martin on November 3.
Butler (26-2, 14 KOs) lost a bid for the vacant IBF title against current tournament competitor Emmanuel Rodriguez by unanimous decision. He lost a bid for the vacant IBF title against current torunament competitor Emanuel Rodriguez.
In addition, Butler will face Yoan Boyeaux (41-5, 26KOs) of France on the under-card of Taylor vs Martin.
