Whyte Delivers One-sided Beating to Browne

Whyte moves toward a bout with Wilder or Joshua


From the O2 Arena in London, England “The Body Snatcher” Dillian Whyte took on Lucas Browne in a battle of heavyweights. The fight started out slow with both men feeling each other out, using the jab. But Whyte would get going in the back end of the round landing some big right hands on Browne, that caused a cut above the left eye of Browne.

Whyte came out in the second round being more aggressive, putting the pressure on Browne. Browne got hit with big right after right hand that had blood streaming down his face. Whyte was also able to land some big shots to the body in the round.

It was becoming clear that Browne was simply taking too much punishment as Whyte kept the pressure up in the third. Whyte seemed to be landing his power punches at will, mixing it in with shots to the head and body.

Whyte came out landing his jab, big right hands to the face of Browne. Give Browne credit as he kept coming forward throughout the fight and trying to mount an attack, with no prevail however.

Whyte was mixing his shots in, landing a big uppercut in the fifth. As the fight went on it was a matter of time as Browne was taking a beating in there. In the sixth and final round Whyte landed a huge shot that put his opponent on the canvas, Browne lay in the ring unconscious from the shot.

It was a disappointing performance for Browne who seemed to be ok a few minutes later in his corner. It was his Browne’s (25-1,22KO’s) first loss of his career.

Whyte outclassed and brutally beat Browne to improve to 23-1 with 17KO’s in an impressive performance. After the fight Whyte called out Deontay Wilder!!
