Wilder Supplies Immediate Post Fight Reaction to 78SportsTV!

On June 1, Anthony “AJ” Joshua (22-1, 21 KO’s) managed to lose in stunning fashion and shake up the heavyweight division in one swift motion.

In defeat, Joshua was stripped of his WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight world titles, all of which were collected by his quick-fisted challenger Andy “Destroyer” Ruiz Jr (33-1, 22 KO’s). Now, not only is Ruiz a unified heavyweight champion, he is the first Mexican heavyweight champion ever.

Shortly after Joshua’s stunning loss, WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KO’s) provided 78SportsTV an immediate and exclusive post fight reaction on YouTube.

Like most, Wilder expressed surprise to see Joshua lose his titles in America. Or, to be more accurate, the Bronze Bomber did not expect the UK darling to succumb to defeat by way of saying “no mas!”

“Now we know who was running from who!”

After suffering four separate knockdowns, AJ spit his mouth piece out, walked to a neutral corner and never came out.

Common logic would suggest that the “Bomber” was salty that his super fight with AJ, and the small fortune attached, had gone up in smoke. The always colorful Alabaman insisted that couldn’t be further from the truth. Of everything that he saw this evening, it was the conceding to the willful loss that most sickened Wilder.

That was something that the champ simply couldn’t stomach.

“But the most thing that I’m mad about is, he quit bruh. He QUIT!”

In fact, throughout the twenty-something minute interview, Wilder was extremely animated. He virtually yelled into the phone for most of the segment. Although, he apologized for his exuberance on a couple of occasions.

Shifting Gears

Wilder could have easily taken the time to bash AJ while he was down, but he didn’t. Outside of reiterating how shocked and appalled he was at Joshua quitting, he didn’t hammer the fallen fighter all that badly.

Of course, the “Bomber” explained that Joshua was a paper champion and had been handed the keys to the kingdom. However, this is nothing new. Wilder has said that all along.

Now just because he let AJ off the hook easy, this charity did not extend to everyone. On the subject of Eddie Hearn, Wilder was only too happy to tear into his neck!

The Bronze Bomber called the UK promoter all out his name, while reaffirming that he was the main factor holding up their fight all along.

“It ain’t going to make him [Joshua] look that bad, because he didn’t really do too much talking. Its going to make his promoter, that bitch ass nigga Eddie Hearn.

“What you say now?! We want to hear you say some shit now, you fake mothafucka!”

Oddly enough, Hearn has been heard to say that, “Joshua is relieved to have suffered his first loss”. Something to the effect of now the pressure is off.

That’s sad man, just plain sad. In the end, Wilder just feels extremely validated and is eagerly looking forward to the future.

“I’ve beaten everyone and knocked them out with my unorthodox skills, my un-textbook skills, with my windmill punches, with my off-balance, whatever you want to call it.

Why am I the baddest man on the planet? Now I will continue with my greatness! What are they going to say now?”
