Adrien Broner has some choice words for Keith Thurman!
Recently, speculation has started to grow over a potential Keith Thurman vs Adrien Broner showdown.
This comes from reports of Broner’s team reaching out to Al Haymon about a potential fight.
Both men fought in January exactly one week apart. On January 19, Broner fought and loss to Manny Pacquiao in a one-sided fight.
The following week on January 26, fans witnessed the return of former unified welterweight champion Keith Thurman. He halted a nearly two year layoff to overcome a a shaky second half against Josesito Lopez to retain his WBA Super title.
The tension began when Thurman mocked Broner for claiming he beat Pacquiao in a video hours before his fight with Lopez.
Fast forward a couple weeks and Broner finally responded when asked during an interview about Thurman.
“Man f**k Keith, tell him to go get his speech together. Damn man he needs some fame and he’s trying to blow his name up so he’s trying to say Adrien Broner name a lot. Man get your b*tch ass on somewhere.
“If the fight comes to the table then Thurman is gonna get F**ked up. But he needs to fix his speech impediment.”

Most people are against this potential fight as Broner has been quite the disappointment when stepping up in competition at welterweight.
The reality is Broner is still a big enough draw that a fight with Thurman would generate interest. With both Errol Spence Jr and Shawn Porter busy with fight obligations, it’s actually a fight that Al Haymon may consider.
In addition, Thurman he has stated he needs at least one or two more tune-up fights. Broner is currently 2-2-1 in his last five and 6-3-1 in his last ten bouts. Furthermore, a few of those wins were controversial as well as the lone draw.
Maybe at this point and time Broner qualifies as a tuneup!
