Alexander Povetkin Could Be Added To Joshua/Parker In What Could Be A Preview

Povetkin could fight in Cardiff

In what could prove to be an interesting turn of events, Alexander Povetkin could very well be fighting in the UK soon.

Povetkin, who is the number one contender and official mandatory challenger to Anthony Joshua’s WBA belt, may fight on Joshua’s undercard on March 31st.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn said today that he has a good relationship with Povetkin’s promotional team, World of Boxing. Adding fuel that there is a possibility that he could fight on the bill.

British heavyweights Dereck Chisora and David Price have been offered the fight, according to Hearn.

Without wanting to speculate too much, but with Povetkin being offered a spot on the card could very well indicate that we may see Joshua fight the WBA mandatory against Povetkin sooner rather than later, providing he bests Joseph Parker first.

He also went onto say fighters in his stable like Ryan Burnett, Luke Campbell, Anthony Crolla, Josh Kelly & Anthony Cordina could also appear on the bill.
