Demetrius Andrade has found a new home!
Manager of Andrade, Ed Farris is in the process of finalizing a promotional multi-fight agreement with Matchroom Boxing USA and DAZN.
For Hearn this is the big name he was looking for. While Andrade hasn’t been as active as he should be, he’s an undefeated former champion and U.S. Olympian. He is also respected as one of the more talented fighters in the sport.
The move is expected to be announced next Tuesday as apart of a press conference in Manhattan.
Recently, 3kingsboxing.com reported the WBO ordered an Andrade vs Billy Joe Saunders bout.
In a recent interview, Saunders states the Andrade fight is 100% done and will happen September 15.
However, Saunders is promoted by Frank Warren. This leaves the possibility of Hearn electing to have Andrade fight someone else for his first fight on DAZN. If this happens, Saunders will not be penalized by Andrade declining the WBO order.
We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
