Andy Cruz Impresses Against Brayan Zamarripa

Lightweight prospect Andy Cruz (3-0, 1KO) easily defeated Brayan Zamarripa (14-3, 5KO) with a flawless performance.

Cruz fought like a video game character in cheat mode. From the start of the bell, his speed, power, accuracy, counter-punching, and movement overwhelmed Zamarripa. What was even more impressive was how the 2020 Olympic Gold medalist applied pressure with excellent footwork.

The Cuban used the jab to perfection as he stalked the Mexican with the jab and straight right hand to the body. He was landing virtually every punch and kept up the pressure in the middle rounds.

Despite his face getting busted up and bloodied, Zamarripa refused to quit and tried to fight back. However, he was unable to mount much of an offense and kept getting hit by punches from all angles.
