Ardreal Holmes Jr. Pushing For a Fight With Erickson Lubin
A statement was made by Ardreal “Bossman” Holmes Jr (15-0, 6 KOs) as he annihilated Marlon Harrington in two rounds at the Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit, Michigan. The rising junior middleweight is now looking for an eventual fight against former world title challenger Erickson “Hammer” Lubin (26-2, 18 KOs).
Fighting on DAZN, Holmes could not have been more impressive. After setting the tone in the first round, a big left hand put Harrington down on the seat of his pants. Holmes put his over-matched opponent down two more times. With Harrington clearly out of sorts, the referee stepped and called a halt to the contest.

WANTING REVENGE
Holmes was over the moon afterward. During the post-fight interview, the Flint, Michigan native talked about who he wants next.
“I’m willing to fight anybody. It’s my time to go now. […] Anybody who they put in front of me. [Erickson] Lubin beat me, like, thirteen years ago. So, I want that get-back; we can get that one.”
Bossman is referring to his decision defeat to Lubin during their amateur days at the finals of the USA National Golden Gloves. The Michigan native believes that he has the tools to beat him in the paid ranks.
Lubin is looking for a fight after being bypassed by reigning WBO champion Tim Tszyu. If Holmes wants to fight, it may be wise for the camp of Lubin to accept the challenge. Thinking out loud, one could envision a Holmes versus Lubin match on a PBC card this summer.
The callout makes sense from the perspective of the Bossman. With his length, skills, speed, and footwork, he has a style that could pose problems for almost anyone at junior middleweight. Currently ranked fifteenth by the WBO, his confidence grows with each outing.
