Triple-header to be first PPV on ESPN
Top Rank CEO Bob Arum has confirmed that a PPV triple-header will take place on April 14th at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The card will feature Manny Pacquiao, Terence Crawford, Jeff Horn and Jesse Magdaleno.
The card was originally expected to take place at Madison Square Garden but the decision to move to Vegas came in the last few days.
“Mandalay Bay is a great venue and we’re happy to put this card on there,” Arum said. “You’ve got a lot of boxing in New York coming up, so it made sense to move the fight to Las Vegas when Mandalay Bay became available.”
The card will include the WBO welterweight title bout between Crawford and Horn. Arum said that Pacquiao, the former eight-division world champion, will face former junior welterweight titlist Mike Alvarado, 38-4, 26KO. Magdaleno, the WBO super bantamweight champion, will face interim champion Isaac Dogboe.
The event will be the first PPV card of the new Top Rank on ESPN platform. Ticket announcements are expected within the next few days.
