Arum is steadfast on Rungvisai vs Ancajas bout happening!
A super flyweight unification bout that will surely get fight fans pumped is in the works and close to being a reality!
According to Bob Arum, he’s held talks with representatives of WBC champion Sirsaket Rungvisai for a high stakes clash with IBF champion Jerwin Ancajas.
He stated that it’s not a matter of it happening or not, but when. Two dates being explored are late February or early March.
Rungvisai is coming off a hard fought unanimous decision victory over Iran Diaz in October. Meanwhile, Ancajas is coming off a split decision win over Alejandro Santiago Barrios in September.
Both guys possess excellent boxing skills and knockout power. This fight, if made, will surely be a fight of the year candidate. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that a deal gets over the finish line.
