Barrios easily defeats Patricia Juarez then calls out the best
Back after scoring a highlight reel one-punch knockout over Aida Satybaldinova, Selina Barrios put on another impressive performance as she outclassed the tough Patricia Juarez over ten rounds.
Both women came out slugging trading big shots in the middle of the ring with Barrios getting the better of the exchanges. Juarez then elected to box from the outside but the lack of power wasn’t enough to keep Barrios off of her.
The 25 year-old sustained a cut on her forehead in the middle rounds after a clash of heads. This made for a bloody battle for the remainder of the fight.
The undefeated Barrios had a huge fifth round as she hurt Juarez knocking her mouthpiece out of her mouth. That caused the referee to momentarily halt the action. To Juarez’s credit she showed tons of heart and resiliency to make it to the final bell.
The fighter from San Antonio, Texas would go on to win a unanimous decision. The scores read 100-89 and 99-91×2.
Afterwards she made it clear she wants the best in and around her division. She called out Katie Taylor, Mikaela Mayer and Amanda Serrano the top women in her division.
Anyone of these match-ups would be a war from beginning to end!
