Bomac Sees Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence as a One-way Fight!
No fighters stand in the way of the highly anticipated 147-pound undisputed showdown between unified champion Errol “The Truth” Spence (28-0, 22KOs) and WBO champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (38-0, 29KOs). The only thing left is to negotiate a deal.
Since acquiring the WBA strap from previous owner Yordenis Ugas on April 16, Spence has been extremely vocal about finally getting Crawford in the ring. Spence has taken to social media to continue to drum up the pressure to make the fight happen. Crawford is welcome to it as well. This seems to indicate a showdown is likely for later this year.
CLEAN SWEEP
With both men now showing extreme interest in this fight happening, the people in their camps are more openly talking about the fight and even making predictions on how the fight will play out. Crawford’s trainer, Brian “Bomac” McIntyre, has no doubt in his mind about what his fighter is going to do to Spence.
“Bud is going to dominate him, he is going to dominate him. Just like I said in my tweet, Bud gon’ beat the shit out of him. Mark my words, that’s what I said. And the reason why I say that is because I’ve been watching Spence for a long time, and to me, he’s still doing the same thing. He may got stronger, he maybe improved on some of the things he’s doing in camp. As a trainer, he’s still doing the same thing, and if he ain’t changed then, he ain’t gonna change by the time he gets in there with Terence. That’s why I say what I say. “
Well it’s clear that McIntyre is supremely confident in his fighter’s ability and rightfully so. It wasn’t long ago that Crawford was viewed as the best pound for pound fighter in the sport. Let’s just hope all of this back and forth leads to these two guys knuckling up to determine welterweight supremacy.
