Bomac Sees Crawford Dominating Madrimov to Become Champ

When two-division undisputed champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (40-0, 31 KO’s) next slides into the ring, he will be looking to make history yet again. This is because on August 3, when he faces WBA super welterweight champion Israil “The Dream” Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KO’s), he will be shooting for a world title in his fourth weight class. Although, there are quite a few who believe Crawford is biting off more than he can chew. Unsurprisingly, as his chief second, Brian “Bomac” McIntyre explained to Fight Hub TV, everything has been proceeding according to plan.

“It’s smooth, it’s going smooth. There’s been some minor changes, as far as strength wise. Of course, Terence is already strong but we just want to get him stronger being that he is moving up. I’m looking for a dominating performance out of that . . . I know that Terence’s mind is set on getting that 154 [pound] title.”

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

There is no question that the heavy-handed Madrimov will be a sturdy challenge for Crawford. For one, when he trades leather with The Dream, Bud will be snapping one solid year of inactivity on top of entering in the new weight division. Some find it foolhardy that Crawford is taking on a champion straight away without any bouts to first acclimate to the weight class. Obviously, Team Crawford is not concerned with this view point.

Their clash will mark the second fight of the year for Madrimov who just fought and beat Magomed Kurbanov by fifth round TKO this past March 8. If Madrimov is successful in his campaign versus Crawford, Bud will by leaps and bounds be the most decorated vanquished opponent on his record. So, as The Dream is aching to collect that scalp and retain his title, Crawford is seeking to make his career even more impeccable. This leaves each fighter with an excess of motivation.

Thankfully for the fight fans, this match is just around the corner. So all the speculation and guessing on who will prevail will shortly be put to rest!
