Canelo Alvarez to move up to 168 to challenge WBA champion Rocky Fielding!
3kingsboxing.com has learned that Canelo Alvarez will be moving up to 168! You read that correctly, Alvarez is moving up to super middleweight! He is coming off of a razor close decision victory over Gennady Golovkin last month in their rematch.
Alvarez will take on WBA super middleweight champion Rocky Fielding December 15 in New York, at Madison Square Garden.
Rocky Fielding was last in action in August, where he stopped Tyron Zeuge in five rounds to win the WBA title. Fielding had been linked to a possible fight with countrymen James DeGale, but with the opportunity to face Alvarez in America for what figures to be his highest payday ever, the match was just too much to pass on.
If Alvarez wins this fight, he will become a three division world champion. This would undoubtedly raise his stock among some of the greatest Mexican fighters ever.

That is a bunch of BS, the WBA said that the winner of Canelo & GGG had to fight Charlo because Charlo is the mandatory. Now Canelo gets to fight who he chooses and move up weight to challenge for the title in another division. Then I heard that GGG had to fight Charlo but he is trying to fight the winner of the Saunders match. Someone that loses should not be able to fight for another title and the champion should fight their mandatory. People say who has Charlo fought. But how can he fight prominent names if they won’t fight him. This is a shame.
