Bruce Carrington Names Rafael Espinoza to his Hitlist!

If given his choice, talented featherweight boxer Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington (16-0, 9 KO’s) would have fought one of the existing 126-pound champions. Instead, Shu Shu battled and thoroughly outclassed Mateus Heita. With the victory, he collected the interim WBC featherweight title. However, Carrington has decided to pursue WBO 126-pound champion Rafael Espinoza.

Ranked #1 (WBC) and #2 (WBA), Carrington has openly called out champions Rey Vargas (WBC) and Nick Ball (WBA). This is to be expected, given his standings. In the middle of conducting his post-fight interview however, Shu Shu took the occasion to forcefully call out Espinoza.

This match, for Carrington, is ideal. The two aforementioned champions, Ball and Vargas, are both presently accounted for. A duel with Espinoza keeps him on the fast track to a full title shot which he no doubt wants. For the time being though, we will have to wait and see what is up the sleeve of Team Carrington.

“I see Espinoza in the crowd! Yeah, I see you in the crowd, I want you bro! My teammates called your team, I want to fight!”
