Oscar Collazo Awarded TKO Over Jayson Vayson; Sandoval Next?

In his latest call of duty, WBO and WBA minimumweight champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (13-0, 10 KO’s) defeated Jayson “Striker” Vayson by way of tepid TKO. Despite coming out on top, the win was marred by controversy of no fault of his own. The oddity came in the form of Vayson’s own corner throwing in the towel of a fight he very well could have been winning.

While the confusing end was certainly a buzzkill for Striker, and the fans enjoying the intense rumble, Collazo is free to move on with his career. If given his way, the unified champion would like to unify his titles with Pedro Taduran (IBF) or Melvin Jerusalem (WBC). While he may want to dance with these two, both have their own respective upcoming fight dates. Taduran will tangle with Christian Bulunan on October 26 and Jerusalem will face Siyakholwa Kuse on October 29.

If neither of these men are available for combat, Collazo expressed his willingness to jump two divisions to mix it up with WBC flyweight champion Ricardo Sandoval. Unlike Bulunan and Kuse, Sandoval does not have any pending opponent on the books. So, let’s see what Team Collazo can drum up next.
