Keyshawn Davis Targets 147 After Decisive Win Over Albright
After roughly two and a half years, super lightweight fighter Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis (15-0, 10 KO’s) avenged his no-contest decision against Nahir “Woo” Albright (17-3-1, 7 KO’s). When the two met originally, Davis was given the nod yet the win was later overturned when The Businessman was flagged for marijuana. On this occasion, Davis beat Albright by a very convincing unanimous decision with a tally of 117-109 and 118-108 (twice).
Speaking of déjà vu-like situations, Davis initially missed weight coming into the duel. Eventually though, he would make good. Keeping in step with this hiccup, during his post-fight interview, The Businessman expressed his desire to move up in weight.
Going a step further, Davis reestablished his craving to test his might with WBO welterweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (33-0, 15 KO’s). The two were briefly in superficial talks with one another in the recent past, yet both Haney and his father and trainer, Bill Haney, said that Davis has not been sincere in his eagerness to fight The Dream.
So, it will be interesting to see if first, The Businessman does actually move up to welterweight. And if he does, can he relight the flame of negotiations with Team Haney.
