Davis in trouble again?
WBA junior lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (24-0, 23KOs) is back in the news and not for good reasons. Tank is fresh off a spectacular one punch knockout win over Leo Santa Cruz (37-2-1, 19KOs) on October 31 in his pay per view debut. This latest news, however, is sure to bring the unbeaten Davis the attention he wants no parts of.
According to WJZ in Baltimore, an affiliate of CBS, Davis was involved in a hit and run accident around 1:53 am on the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Baltimore police reportedly arrived on the scene and found several people suffering minor injuries. One person went to the hospital for their injuries, according to the police report.
According to police, a vehicle ran a red light, striking another vehicle before leaving the scene. Police would not confirm whether or not Davis was at the scene or driving the car that ran the red light. Yet, sources say he was the driver. If true, there will be plenty of questions as to why he elected to leave the scene of an accident.
3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
