Gervonta Davis charged with Simple Battery after incident with child’s mother!
It’s been a rough last few days for Gervonta Davis (23-0, 22KOs) after a video of him physically assaulting the child of his mother went viral.
The two-divisional world champion was seen on camera aggressively removing his child’s mother out of her seat at a celebrity basketball event in Florida on the weekend of Demetrius Andrade vs Luke Keeler and escorting her out of the building by her shirt collar.
3kingsboxing.com has learned Davis turned himself into the Coral Gables Police Department and was charged with simple battery domestic violence.
Davis released a statement on the issue stating the following.
“I never once hit her. Yeah I was aggressive and told her to come on. That’s the mother of my child. I would never hurt her.”
It’ll be interesting to see what happens next for the Floyd Mayweather protege.
