Keyshawn Davis Is Ready For Denys Berinchyk & Gervonta Davis
WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk (19-0, 9KO) and WBA champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (30-0, 28KO) have been put on notice by top contender “The Businessman” Keyshawn Davis (12-0 8KO).
On November 9, The Businessman took care of business in a WBO title eliminator against a dangerous Gustavo Lemos. Davis made a statement in the fight as he pummeled Lemos for an impressive second-round stoppage. What made this achievement even more noteworthy is the fact that the Argentinian was six pounds over the limit.
With this fight in the books, it is time to look for the title, and the WBO champion is on the clock. Many inside the boxing community view Berinchyk as the weakest champion in the division. Which doesn’t bold well for the Ukrainian as Davis is more focused, dangerous, and confident than ever.
A MESSAGE FOR THE CHAMPIONS
During the post-fight interview, he expressed confidence in winning a title in 2025.
“We’ll see what Berinchyk got to put up. But next year, hey Norfolk y’all about to have a world champion man. How about that!”
Davis has been extremely vocal when it comes to Tank. He’s called the Baltimore power-puncher a one-trick pony. Several pundits would agree with his sentiments as the WBA champion gets outboxed in the early rounds before his power saves the day.
So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Davis took the opportunity to send Tank a message.
“A world title is definitely going to be next. In 2025, we have big, big plans for everybody in the boxing world. Hey, Gervonta, knock knock!”
“He got no choice but to fight me. The Fans want him to fight me. After what I just did tonight against a guy that’s bigger than him.”
In this author’s opinion, this version of Davis has all the tools to defeat either champion on any given night. Going into 2025, he is ready to move from contender to champion, to being a star.
