Oscar De La Hoya Accused of Sexual Assault…Again

In what has long become a troubling reoccurrence, Golden Boy Promotions top dog Oscar de la Hoya is being accused of sexual assault, yet again. According to the Los Angeles Times, on Wednesday a civil suit was filed by an executive of Casa Mexico Tequila, a company that De La Hoya is a partner with, accusing him of sexual assault.

The first of two alleged incidents took place in March of 2020 while on a trip to Mexico. In the suit, it was stated that De La Hoya drug the female accuser into his bed and forced himself upon her. Then later, when they had returned to Los Angeles, it’s said that the former Olympian sexually assaulted her again. This time De La Hoya is accused of forcefully inserting a sexual object into her body. Naturally, De La Hoya denied the claims.

“With the 24-hour news cycle we all find ourselves in, more often than not, malicious and unjust accusations are interpreted as truth without the evidence to support their erroneous claims. I am confident my legal team will resolve this matter and prove my innocence.”

WHERE THERE’S SMOKE?

Sadly, this is not the first time that De La Hoya has been down this murky road. Back in 2019 the Golden Boy was accused of propositioning famous LA radio personality David Gonzalez to “perform a wide range of highly personal, improper and elicit non-work related duties.” De La Hoya also settled another legal matter out of court in 2001. In that case, the accomplished former fighter was accused of raping a 15-year-old girl, also in Mexico, in 1998.

Along with the various accusations of sexual assault, De La Hoya was embarrassed in 2007 when stripper Milana Dravnel released incriminating photos of De La Hoya wearing boxing gloves, high heels and fishnet stocking. Initially he claimed the images were merely photo-shopped but would double-back and admit to their validity.

There was an attempt to extort De La Hoya out of a chunk of change in 2018. In that episode, two Instagram models met with and recorded De La Hoya pleasuring himself with various utensils. In order to keep the pics away from public scrutiny, the two would-be blackmailers demanded financial compensation. Before the whole matter was resolved, the FBI became involved and it blossomed into an internationally known affair. 3Kings Boxing will continue to monitor this most recent incident and its ultimate finale.
