Diego Pacheco Stops Immanuwel Aleem and Targets Jaime Munguia Title Fight

In his first fight of the year, super middleweight contender Diego Pacheco (26-0, 19 KO’s) secured a solid and well-earned technical knockout victory. The talented Californian pulled this off by stopping Immanuwel “The Chosen One” Aleem (22-5-3, 14 KO’s) in the eleventh round.

This was a very important win given that Pacheco was beginning to lose much of his luster in the eyes of the fans. This sentiment was greatly fueled by a 2025 composed of tepid performances against Steven Nelson, Trevor McCumby and Kevin Sadjo.

With the wind firmly back in his sails, Pacheco and his promoter Eddie Hearn have high hopes for the future. Presently, Pacheco holds the favorable standings of #3 (WBO), #4 (WBC), #7 (WBA) and #13 (IBF). This will supply him with many options. However, it appears that team Pacheco will be pursuing a duel with WBA super middleweight champion Jaime Munguia.

“We talked about this fight many times. For Los Angeles, is there a better fight than Diego Pacheco against Jaime Munguia for the world super middleweight title? That is a mega-fight here…and if we can get Jaime Munguia, we will go beat him and then we’ll face Canelo Alvarez as well!” ~ Eddie Hearn
