TJ Doheny is added to the Matchroom Boxing roster
Newly crowned IBF super-bantamweight champion TJ Doheny has signed a promotional pact with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing.
Back in August of 2018, Doheny pulled off an upset when he defeated then champion Ryosuke Iwasa by way of unanimous decision.
Now he will make his first title defense in New York City on a DAZN card headlined by WBO middleweight champ Demetrius Andrade.
If all goes well on January 18, he has made it clear he wants to face WBA champion Danny Roman in a unification bout. With both men now under the Matchroom banner, it shouldn’t be a difficult fight to make.
Let’s hope we see all of these guys face each other and see who the top guy at 122 really is.
