Eddie Hearn Believes Andy Cruz Would Dominate Keyshawn Davis
There is no denying that there is real heat between long-time rival lightweights Andy Cruz (2-0, 1 KO’s) and Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis (10-0, 7 KO’s). After colliding four times in the amateurs, Davis came up on the short end of the stick every time. And let Cruz’s Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn tell it, this dynamic would not change in the pro’s, even slightly.
“He [Andy Cruz] needs to fuck people up, and he’ll fuck Keyshawn Davis up as well. Everyday of the week, every round!”
First however, Cruz must make it past the challenge of Brayan Zamarripa Rodriguez, who he faces in his next tour of duty. Obviously, first it’s all important to secure the victory and then Cruz wants to win in style. Minus this, the “necessity” of a fight right now between Cruz and the Businessman loses a whole lot of steam in a hurry.
If Cruz wins in dominant fashion however, then The Businessman vs the native Cuban still makes for an intriguing years-long grudge match. First however, let’s see what Cruz does in the upcoming prizefight versus Rodriguez. Naturally, Davis will want him successful to keep the fire burning for their showdown.
