Hearn Reveals Potential Location for Manny Pacquiao vs Conor Benn Fight

The boxing community is still reeling from the news about eight-divisional champion Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao. Pac Man could unretire to face welterweight Conor “The Destroyer” Benn (21-0, 14KO). Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that both men’s teams have been in talks for a possible showdown in the Middle East.

This has been a very controversial time for The Destroyer. The memes on social media continue to pour in about the two positive banned substance tests due to eggs. Benn is under heavy scrutiny as his team has been doing damage control and claiming that they never mentioned eggs.

Boxing fans went into a frenzy following a message from MP Promotions representative Sean Gibbons about Pac Man versus Benn. During an interview with Matchroom Boxing, Hearn revealed that both sides were in talks for quite some time behind the scenes.

“There has been a number of negotiations for a long time with Sean Gibbons with Manny Pacquiao and his team about a fight in the Middle East and about fighting Conor Benn.”

“It’s a big fight for Conor Benn to come back to. The eyes of the world will be watching Conor Benn for various reasons . . . He’s ready to explode back on the scene and it could be Manny Pacquiao.”

A fight with the Filipino Senator would be huge for the controversial British welterweight. There has been no official announcement of anything concrete, but the story has captured the boxing world’s attention.
