Ergashev wins in dominant fashion
In the first bout on ShowBox: The Next Generation from the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY Shohjahon Ergashev improved to 12-0 with 12 KOs stopping undefeated prospect Sonny Fredrickson (18-1, 12KOs) in the third round of a 8 round Super Lightweight bout.
Ergashev started from the opening bell throwing and landing his left hand hard and often. Fredrickson seemed to have no answer for the left hand of Ergashev. Fredrickson got caught with a left and stumbled to the ropes, seemed daze but nonetheless survived the round.
In the second Ergashev continue to land his left and constantly changing angles on his opponent. He was clearly outclassing Fredrickson and began to taunt him in the ring. Fredrickson seemed bewildered, not moving his head and lunging in with his punches.
In the third ironically enough it was a right hand the hurt Fredrickson badly. Ergashev would keep him against the ropes landing power shots at will forcing the stop and getting a very impressive win. Ergashev looked impressive, using angles and affective aggression, we will probably see more of him down the road.
