Chris Eubank Jr Calls Out Kell Brook

While there was no title on the line, welterweight boxer Kell “Special K” Brook (40-3, 28 KO’s) just picked up the most gratifying win of his professional career. This is because he just bested his bitter domestic rival Amir “King” Khan. To make the win even sweeter, Brook rocked Khan several times, noodled his legs repeatedly and finally stopped him in the sixth round of their duel. In the opinion of many, this would be the perfect time for Special K, ranked #13 (WBC), to ride off into the sunset.

One individual that is not ready to see Brook go just yet is middleweight Chris Eubank Jr (32-2, 23 KO’s), as evidenced by his very recent social media call out. Eubank Jr, who is ranked #1 (WBA), #3 (WBO) and #3 (WBC), is coming off his own twelve round unanimous decision win over Liam “The Machine” Williams. Ironically enough, Eubank Jr had his own fair share of beef with Williams before their dustup. Now that the grudge match with the Machine is in his rearview mirror, Eubank is obviously scouting for his next adversary.

At the moment, it’s way too soon to speculate on the likelihood of this bout taking place. Leaving first things first, it must first be established that Special K is even going to continue on with his career. If he does choose to hang up the gloves, then obviously it doesn’t matter who calls him out as it would be a moot point. If, on the other hand, Brook does soldier on, then this could be another fun all-UK battle that he may want to consider.
