Filip Hrgovic To Give Daniel Dubois A Beating Per His Duty
To satisfy his latest contract for combat, heavyweight boxer Filip “El Animal” Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KO’s) will face “Dynamite” Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KO’s). If everything goes the way that he hopes following their June 1 collision, he’d walk away with his third consecutive knockout. Yet, despite his willingness and desire to flatten Dubois, this does not mean that he is devoid of respect for his upcoming opponent.
In fact, in a recent interview with Pro Boxing Fans, Hrgovic made a point to express his mutual respect for Dubois.
“Of course, I respect him as a man, as fighter. He’s a good guy, but we’ll fight, you know? He’s getting a beating, man, [because] it’s our job!”
CHANGE OF HEART?
Some may argue that this show of mutual respect is a newer element. This is because, when previously questioned about facing Dubois, Hrgovic vowed to retire if he lost to him. Perhaps that could have been a perfectly valid statement and belief of his, or perhaps he was merely speaking in colorful language.
Regardless of his intent or commitment to the utterance, now El Animal will have his chance to once again prove his dominance against Dubois. Given that neither can afford a loss at this point, and both have heavy hands and ill-intent for the other, Hrgovic versus Dubois should provide one very fun action-fight.
