Francis Ngannou Trolls Tyson Fury Over Controversial Decision

Former MMA heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou (0-1) may not have secured the win against WBC champion Tyson “The Gypsy Fury” (34-0-1, 24KO), but that hasn’t stopped him from proclaiming himself as a significant figure in the sport.

The rivalry between the MMA and boxing fanbases is longstanding. On October 28, MMA almost got a chance to give boxing fans the middle finger before Ngannou got robbed by a controversial split decision.

The Gypsy King has been repeatedly criticized for narrowly defeating the former MMA champion. Reflecting on that controversial split decision in an interview, Ngannou revealed that the outcome didn’t surprise him and openly criticized the sport of boxing.

It appears he is not ready to put this behind him and has taken to social media to highlight his undefeated boxing record.

“Hello, guys, what’s up? Waking up today and just remembered, I am the guy that just defeated the lineal heavyweight [boxer] of the world. And I am the damn man, even though I got robbed by those judges.”

Fury’s controversial win has undeniably made the former MMA champion a notable presence in the sport of boxing. This is evident in the WBC’s willingness to potentially rank Ngannou in the top 10.

To make matters more interesting, other top-tier heavyweights will undoubtedly be eyeing a fight with Ngannou, who may have just jumped ahead in the line of heavyweight contenders.
