Errol Spence Car Accident Update!
The boxing world was in a frenzy early this morning when news broke that unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr was in a horrific car accident that resulted in him being ejected from the vehicle.
A few hours later, according to JD Miles from CBS 11 in Dallas, the champion has survived with only minor injuries including some broken teeth and will make a full recovery! This is a bit peculiar given it was reported earlier that Spence was in ICU.
This is extraordinary and exciting news given how the accident looked when captured on camera. However, sometimes when there is good news, bad will follow.
It appears the unified champion could face DWI charges. The investigation is still pending, although, it seems his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit when the wreck occurred.
If charged with a DWI, this would lend credibility to the rumors about Spence’s drinking and partying. Hopefully, regardless of the legal status of this situation, he is able to make a full recovery and move on with his career.
