Stephen Fulton Tells Daniel Roman to Be Ready Come Fight Night!
The divisions that people talk about the most is either the heavyweight or welterweight division. Other divisions get to share the shine from time to time, but the super bantamweight division is so stacked fans forget that two years ago Daniel “The Babyface Assassin” Roman (29-3-1, 10 KO’s) was the ruler of the roast. Now Roman is being told by unified champion Stephen “Cool Boy Steph” Fulton (20-0, 8 KO’s) to be ready.
Cool Boy Steph has been dubbed one of those uncrowned champions earlier in his career before grabbing the WBO title away from Angelo Leo in January 2022. He was far from done. He went on to wrestle the WBC belt out of the clutches of then champion Brandon Figueroa in a close fight back in November 2021.
Immediately, in the post-fight interview, the newly crowned champion was okay with doing a rematch. Well, it seems that ship may have sailed, and winning the WBC title means he has also inherited the mandatory requirement that is part of the deal.
THE JOURNEY BACK TO THE TITLES
Roman was waiting in the shadows and pounced on the opportunity. He revealed on social media that he will be fighting Fulton next for the titles. Moreover, he ended the statement with a subliminal message for the fans.
The former unified champion lost his place on top of the mountain after losing both titles to Murodjon “MJ” Akhmadaliev back in 2020. After fighting his way back into title contention in 2021, he has been eager to reclaim his spot in the division.
A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAMP
Of course, Fulton did not let that sly shot go unnoticed. He took to social media, telling the former champion to workout more than just his keyboard muscles.
The super bantamweight division is stacked with mouth-watering matchups, and hopefully the winner between the two goes for undisputed by the end of the year.
Fans can be ready to watch another thrilling bout between Fulton and Roman in Minnesota, live on Showtime on June 4.
