Tyson Fury thinks he would beat Anthony Joshua in three rounds!

When WBC World Heavyweight champion Tyson “Gypsy King” Fury (30-0-1, 21 KO’s) said that he would dismantle Deontay Wilder, little to no one believed him. Even after delivering that promised pummeling, many were still left in disbelief. Now, once again Fury is dealing out major threats and foreboding forecasts. This time, the Gypsy King is guaranteeing that WBA Super, WBO and IBF World Heavyweight champion Anthony “AJ” Joshua (24-1, 22 KO’s) would have zero chance of victory over him. The WBC champ issued this declaration in a recent interview conducted with Fight Hub TV.

“Joshua couldn’t push shit off! He couldn’t even pull himself off! He’s on rocky numbers, I hear he’s on once a day. When he gets it back up to seven times a day then come and see me. Until then, shut the hell up!”

Aside from trashing his shot at victory and degrading his libido levels, Fury gave a bit more rationale for why he thought he would easily defeat the unified champion.

“If that Joshua fight happens it doesn’t go the distance, he gets knocked out! He is no good to me, none of these fighters are. He’s too slow, he’s too muscle-bound, he works on too much weightlifting and not enough speed. Too much power, no speed…Anthony Joshua has no chance!”

DON’T HOLD YOUR BREATH

As always, Fury proves to be an automatic guarantee to provide polarizing sound-bytes and eye-catching headlines. While it makes for a fun read, there is little reason to get excited about a Fury versus Joshua showdown. Of course, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn is ready and willing to swear of a stack of Bibles that the fight is all but done. He has promised that the fight announcement is imminent and coming any day now. The trouble with that is the fact that he has been saying this for months now! Even more disconcerting is the realization that Fury and both his promoters, Bob Arum and Frank Warren, have said they are essentially washing their hands of the fight.

For team Fury, the sticking point is financial. All sides agreed on the amount of money and the split nearly a year ago. However, there has been no legally binding guarantee of who will provide those funds. Until that matter is sorted out, there is no point in day-dreaming about the Fury vs Joshua mega-fight for undisputed. Although, it is always fun to hear Fury do his best real-life Hulk Hogan impression!

“There’s never been anyone like me in the history of the sport! Six foot nine, 270-pounds, good looking, tall, dark and handsome, never ever been anyone like me [that] could talk, could move, could dance, sing, could fight, could run could skip could hop! Do I need to say any more? Undefeated in over a decade, never ever to lose a fight, never ever will lose a fight, caught up against all the odds. Suffered with mental health, come back from 400-pounds, got a tan again, worked on my body, you know shaved my head a bit, had a couple of decent good looks. You know, here we are still on top all these years later still rocking-and-rolling and we’re still representing and here we are still the Gypsy King boom! Do I need to say any more? The interview is done!”
