Erickson Lubin to Face Nathaniel Gallimore October 26!
Erickson Lubin (21-1, 16KO) now has a new foe for his October 26 return. Fellow junior middleweight contender Terrell Guasha (21-1-1, 10KO) was forced to withdraw from their fight with a hand injury.
3kingsboxing.com has learned that Lubin will now face the hard-hitting Nathaniel Gallimore (21-3-1, 17KOs) in the main event. The new challenger revealed the information on his personal Facebook account.
Gallimore gained notoriety after he defeated the once highly-touted junior middleweight prospect Justin DeLoach by stopping him 5 rounds. That would catapult him into a fight with now unified junior middleweight champion Julian “J-Rock” Williams. He would suffer a decision loss; the first of back-to-back defeats, as a decision loss to prospect Patrick Teixeira would follow.
This is a big opportunity for him as a win over Lubin would put him into title contention in what seems to be a loaded division. It’ll be interesting to see how Lubin adjusts to the antithetical replacement, as Guasha is more of a boxer than puncher.
Expect the animated Gallimore to try and rough-up Lubin when these two men meet on October 26.
