Ryan Garcia Denies Using A PED In Devin Haney Victory
“King Ry” Ryan Garcia’s (25-1, 20KO) victory over WBC junior welterweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (31-1, 15KO) is in jeopardy. King Ry is under attack after the news hit of a failed PED test before the Haney fight. He has since taken to social media to call the allegations false.
The boxing community is in a frenzy after Fight Freaks Unite dropped a bombshell that Garcia tested positive for a Performance Enhancing Drug called Ostarine. According to the report, this test was taken before his victory over Haney on April 20. If this turns out to be true, King Ry’s victory and legacy will come under heavy scrutiny.
HE SAYS IT’S NOT TRUE
The irony in this is Garcia hinted at Haney possibly being a drug cheat for working with SNAC’s CEO Victor Conte. He took to social media with a troll post before doing a Twitter space to address the allegation by claiming his innocence.
“You guys can see fake news. Fake fucking news, don’t believe these fuckers, bro. I never fucking took a steroid in my fucking life . . . Supposedly they had it already. Then why didn’t they release it? They release it after I win? It makes no sense.”
“If they had this information, they should have released this before the fight went down. Why would you let a cheater step in the ring? . . . I’m definitely innocent . . . I beat Devin Haney fair and square.”

WHAT CAN HAPPEN NEXT
It’s not unusual for PED test results from VADA to come out long after a fight. Furthermore, he can request to have the B sample tested to see if it comes back with the same results. Nevertheless, Garcia could see his victory over Haney overturned and ruled a no contest until the situation is resolved.
