Devin Haney Keeping his Sights on April 20 Ryan Garcia Fight
To this point in his career, WBC junior welterweight Devin “The Dream” Haney (31-0, 15 KO’s) has remained the ultimate professional. He maintains this steely demeanor as he prepares for his April 20 duel with “King Ry” Ryan Garcia (24-1 20 KO’s). Unlike The Dream however, Garcia has been a bit all over the place.
The erratic Californian has caused worry and controversy in his latest social media posts. Understandably, his river of unhinged messaging has led to countless individuals reaching out and praying for Garcia’s well being. For his part, Haney has kept his head down and remained focused on his preparation.
EYES ON THE PRIZE
If we are being honest, the more he talks on social media like he is suffering from a fever dream, the more it’s believed he will not make it to the ring on April 20. If King Ry does bow out for any reason, then Golden Boy Promotions already has Arnold Barboza waiting in the bushes to jump out and strike.
So, for the time being, all we can really do is cross our fingers and hope for the best. In the meantime however, there is no doubt that social media phenomenon Ryan Garcia will not slow down on his media posts.
