Jack and Browne verbally agree to fight in 2019!
3kingsboxing.comhas learned that WBC ranked #1 and #2 Badou Jack and Marcus Browne respectively have verbally agreed to fight each other in early 2019.
While a deal is close, there are still some major hurdles to clear before the deal is complete.
Browne was supposed to face then WBA light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev back in August, however, he was charged with domestic violence and consequently lost the opportunity.
There’s no word of when and where the fight will take place. Although, it could take place on the Pacquiao-Broner under-card January 19 or on a card in February. In addition, this will possibly be an eliminator with the victor in play to face the winner of Adonis Stevenson vs Oleksandr Gvozdyk.
This would be a significant step-up for the undefeated Browne, who will be looking to pull off an upset. Further, his considerate power makes this is a dangerous fight for Jack.
3kingsboxing.comwill continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates as they become available.
