Jamal James Picks Up Biggest Win Of His Career

James Stops Chaves In Three

In the co main event of PBC on FS1 Jamal James took on Diego Chaves (26-3-1, 22 KO’s) in a 10 round welterweight bout.

The first round started with James keeping the fight on the outside behind his jab. In the second Chaves tried to step up the pressure landing a couple of hooks on James but kept running into a few right hands himself. Chaves kept working the body but often would leap in to try to land a shot.

In the third round James stayed disciplined hurting Chaves and pinning him in the corner. He was able to step in land a few rights then ended dropping and stopping Chaves with a left hook to the body. Chaves didn’t even attempt to beat the count as it was a beautiful hook to the body.

It’s clearly the biggest win of James career and we shall see if he can carry the momentum going forward. James became the only person to stop the rugged Chaves not named Keith Thurman. He improves to 22-1 with 10KO’s.
