Japanese Sensation Daigo Higa To Defend His Title Against Moises Fuentes

WBC Flyweight champion Daigo Higa is set to face former WBO minimumweight champion Moises Fuentes on February 4th in Japan.

Higa, 14-0 14KO, has been impressive so far in his brief career while winningthe title in his twelfthfight. He defeated Juan Navarrete in May of this year by sixth round TKO to winthe WBC belt. He most recently defended his title against Thomas Masson back in October.

Fuentes, a former WBC youthchampion as well as the WBO title he held, is best knownfor a draw he received against Filipino star Donnie Nietes. He lost a title bid against Japan’s Kosei Tanaka last New Year’s Eve and then suffered a majority decision loss to journeyman Ulises Lara in July but revenged that loss by firstround KO in October.After the return win against Lara Fuentes believes he is ready forfight his opportunity.
