Jennings set to make his return the first quarter of 2019

Heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings (24-2, 14KO) will return against the unknown and unbeaten Oscar Rivas (24-0 17KO).

Their heavyweight clash will take place January 18 in New York at the Turning Stone Casino.

Jennings, a former world title challenger, is riding a five-fight winning streak. His last victory coming over Alexander Dimitrenko in August.

Rivas is an unknown and unproven as a pro, however, had a prestigious amateur career. In addition, he is a former Olympian who defeated top contender Kubrat Pulev in the first round of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

A win here for Rivas would catapult him into a big opportunity down the line. Additionally, he has a fight scheduled for December 1 against Fabio Maldonado. With the Jennings fight on the bill, there is a possibility this fight may not happen.

Also, appearing on the card is top featherweight prospect Shakur Stevenson against an opponent yet to be determined.
