Jermall Charlo vows to knock David Benavidez out!
WBC Middleweight champion Jermall “Hit Man” Charlo (31-0, 22KOs) is ready to shut former WBC Super Middleweight champion David Benavidez (24-0, 21KOs) up! Speaking with Brian Custer on The Last Stand podcast, he sent a message to Benavidez after being asked if the two will fight.

“Yeah. Let’s make that fight happen! I’m going to knock his little punk ass out! I promise that, I put that on everything that I love. I give him about four rounds, five rounds, bout five rounds, six rounds, no more. He get hit too much, I’m powerful. I’ll explode on him trust me. I do my thing, I’ve been doing this all my life. Put me in there, put me in there, bro I’m a lion bro. Let’s get it!”
A KNOCKOUT WAITING TO HAPPEN
These two have been going back and forth in the media recently. This matchup has a knockout written all over it! The power and speed both men possess has carried them both to unbeaten records and world titles. After his eleventh round technical knockout over Ronald Ellis on March 13, Benavidez was again asked about a fight with Charlo. He immediately stated that is a fight he wants to have. He declared that is a fight not only himself, but Charlo could use to catapult them into bigger fights.
Charlo and Benavidez are only separated by eight pounds; this fight would have no problem being made, once the money was settled on. The potential addition of Jermall Charlo to an already stacked super middleweight division would allow for even more big fights to happen.
Let’s hope these men are as serious as their trash talking has been and they get this fight done!
