Joseph Parker Stops Martin Bakole In Two Quicks Rounds

WBO interim heavyweight titlist Joseph Parker (36-3, 24KO) defeated the boogeyman Martin Bakole (21-2, 16KO) in two rounds.

Bakole literally arrived in the morning in Saudi Arabia for the fight and reported being severely heavy. Nonetheless, he was considered the favorite due to his bruising style. That didn’t seem to bother Parker, who unleashed a barrage of shots to the body before landing upstairs.

In the second round, Parker landed a hard shot on the top of Bakole’s head that short-circuited them legs. As the man from the Democratic Of The Congo crumbled to the canvas the crowd went into shock.

Bakole got up but wasn’t able to continue. He stumbled to the corner forcing his trainer to stop the fight as everyone in the arena looked stunned.

Parker deserves full credit for the victory. He is now undefeated when fighting in Saudi Arabia and during the post-fight interview, he made it clear a title shot has to be next.
