Payano will be headed to the WBSS Bantamweight Tournament.

The World Boxing Super Series tournament has shined a huge light on the lower weight division. Add former WBA super champion Juan Carlos Payano to the mix.

Payano is coming off of a three fight win streak since losing his first professional fight and title in 2016 to Rau’shee Warren. By entering the tournament, the 34 year old Dominican fighter is a formidable opponent.

3kingsboxing.com confirmed earlier that Nonito Donaire had also entered the tournament.

The landscape of the tournament consists of WBA Super Champion Ryan Burnett, WBA regular champion Naoya Inoue and WBO champion Zolani Tete.

Also confirmed is IBF champion Emmanuel Rodriguez. He will be defending his title against Jason Moloney in a quarterfinal bout.

What is more exciting about the tournament is at the end, one fight will determine another undisputed champion in boxing.
